Official Groundbreaking for the 10km Prince House–Masaka Road

MAKITA Tent Design Ltd was proud to provide the full tent installation and event setup for the official groundbreaking ceremony of the 10km Prince House–Masaka Road Project — a landmark China-Rwanda infrastructure collaboration.

The ceremony brought together senior government officials, Chinese diplomats, engineers from China Railway Seven Group, local leaders and media representatives for this historic occasion.

What we delivered

• Double-peak marquee tent with full interior draping in white fabric, providing an elegant and professional atmosphere for the diplomatic ceremony
• Stage and podium setup with red carpet, backdrop display and LED screen for presentations
• 300+ covered chairs with white spandex chair covers arranged in formal seating rows
• Artificial grass flooring laid across the entire tent footprint for a clean, premium finish
• Exterior pole draping with tied fabric accents on all visible tent poles

The challenge

This was an outdoor site on undeveloped land near the road construction zone. Our crew had to prepare the ground, level the surface, install the artificial grass, erect the tent structure and complete all decoration within a tight 24-hour turnaround — all while coordinating with security protocols for the high-profile guest list.

The result was a polished, camera-ready ceremony space that appeared on national and international media coverage of the event.
